MEMO — a Python data layer ingesting 5,000 events per second for the PR industry.

Python as the engine room of a real-time analytics platform.

MEMO turns reader behaviour from millions of articles into something the PR industry can act on. The data side — ingestion, classification, scoring at 5,000 events per second — runs on Python on AWS Lambda, feeding a Rails-served customer experience.

Two and a half years from ideation to launch, same team since week one. The Python services were built to be re-shaped: as the data model changed, individual workers got swapped without taking the platform down.
